Reston, VA – Lake Anne Village Center is hosting a free Jazz & Blues Festival on Saturday, October 3 from 12 pm until 6 pm. Some of the DC region’s favorite bands are scheduled to perform on the lakeside plaza, including Afro Bop Alliance, 2009 Grammy Winner for “Best Latin Jazz Group”, plus three more headline bands: Sara Jones, The Dixie Power Trio; and the Mykle Lyons Quartet, on stage at Lake Anne Village Center, 1609 Washington Plaza, Reston, Virginia.

General admission and parking are free. A small fee ($3.00 for adults) for wristbands provides access to the Preferred Seating Areas & Food and Beer Garden. Spectators are welcome to also bring their own chairs. Media sponsor WPFW Radio 89.3 FM will help host the festival with guest MC’s, including radio personality Myrrh Cauthen. “We are thrilled with this year’s line up,” says Eve Thompson, the event organizer. “This is the 3rd Lake Anne Jazz & Blues Festival, and each year it’s grown. It’s a great way to spend the afternoon outdoors in a great venue hearing amazing music! We’ve have also grown our relationships to include Reston Community Center and WPFW Radio, who are wonderful partners in this event.”
